Task

The decision to make

The client had several existing business lines. Before launching an AI studio, we needed to learn whether we could produce strong visuals and whether companies would buy the service. Reach could answer only the first question.

Solution

My responsibility

Defined two hypotheses and target B2B segments, recruited and selected creators, prepared the brief and coordinated production and publishing. Reviewed organic results and separately organised a small paid test for commercial enquiries.

How I built the test

  1. Select creators

Reviewed work, audience growth and engagement using profiles and TrendHERO, followed by a manual assessment of quality and fit for brand tasks.

  2. Set a creative direction

Show visual ideas that would be costly or difficult to shoot conventionally. The brief fixed the task while leaving room for each creator’s style.

  3. Test distribution

Compared responses to published videos and identified concepts earning attention without buying broad reach.

  4. Find commercial demand

Tested X, LinkedIn and Instagram. The form asked about company, link, task and budget. Suitable enquiries received an idea built around the brand’s own product.

100% of this cohort · Contact and task

  2. 02Suitable enquiries20

33.3% of the previous stage · Task and budget fit

A calculated qualification example: 60 enquiries, 20 suitable tasks, 8 discussions and 3 commercial projects. Three brands proceeded to work; the earlier stages illustrate enquiry selection.

How I assessed the signal

Views and customers answer different questions

Views show that a format can earn attention. Commercial interest requires an enquiry with a task and budget, followed by agreement to work.

A short qualification form improves selection

Extra questions reduce easy submissions but support concrete project discussions. I assess suitable-enquiry rate and progression to discussion alongside form cost.

Conclusions

The decision this enabled

The pilot produced work with substantial organic reach and initial commercial projects. That supported developing the offer before committing to a permanent team. Repeatable demand still needs to be assessed through further deals, margin and repeat orders.

The approach at a glance

  • Tested audience attention and willingness to pay separately
  • Selected creators for quality and ability to work to a brief
  • Qualified enquiries by company, task and budget
